We were privileged to be appointed to prepare Landscape Proposals for three sites around the new Impington guided bus route, a scheme that was being prepared but three separate architects. The architects felt by offering the three site’s to one central Landscape Designer it would help to create a stronger design proposal and unite the three sites.
We were approached by Tibbett Architectural Services to work on ‘Station Yard’, the largest of the three commissioned sites, at just under 1 acre. The site was to include 32 flats with 4 live work units. The brief was to prepare Landscape Proposals for the site including communal and private garden spaces, as well as considering the flow of traffic and ample parking required. The design focused on giving the site a rural and ‘village’ feel given its scale, with a canopy of trees as you enter and look through the site. The design offered the innovative solutions and layout seen on the two neighbouring sites, linking with the railway theme.
